Managing Your Team

How to add, edit, and remove staff members on your salon's roster.

The Staff page in your admin panel is where you manage everyone who works at your salon — their role, status, and the services they specialize in. Staff members can be assigned to specific services so customers can book appointments with them.

When you haven't added anyone yet, the Add Team Member form appears directly on the page under "Who's on your team?". Once you have at least one team member, your team is shown as a list instead, and adding someone new opens a popup window with the same form.

Adding a team member

  1. Click Add Team Member.
  2. Fill in their Full name (required).
  3. Pick their Role — Manager, Stylist, Receptionist, or Assistant.
  4. Fill in their Email (required).
  5. Click Phone, specializations, work media & availability to expand more optional fields:
    • A profile photo — upload one, or take one directly with your camera
    • Phone number
    • Specializations — the types of services they're skilled in: Hair, Makeup, Nails, Skin Care, Beard, Massage, Waxing, or Other
    • About me — a short bio shown on your public website. Next to this field is a Fix with AI button: write a rough draft, click it, and choose between three improved versions (polished, friendly, or concise) to use, or dismiss them and keep your own wording.
    • A work gallery — photos or short videos of their work, shown on your public website
    • Calendar availability — their weekly schedule. It's pre-filled from your salon's opening hours, and you can't set a day's hours outside your salon's own operating hours for that day.
  6. Click Add Team Member → to save.

New team members are set to Active automatically, so they're immediately available to be assigned bookings.

If you've turned on Booking and have one or fewer team members, you'll see a reminder banner on the Staff page encouraging you to add more — you can dismiss it.

Editing a team member

Hover over (or tap) a team member's row and click Edit to open their details in a popup window. You can update:

  • Photo, name, email, phone, role
  • Specializations, About me (with the same Fix with AI helper), and work gallery
  • Status — Active, Inactive, or On Leave
  • Available for booking — turn this off to keep someone on your roster without customers being able to book appointments with them; they simply won't appear in the booking calendar

Click Save changes to apply your updates, or Cancel to close without saving.

Removing a team member

Hover over (or tap) a team member's row and click the trash icon, then confirm by clicking Remove in the popup that appears. This deletes them from your team list.

The salon owner can't be removed from the team list — there's no remove button next to their name (shown with an Owner badge).

Removing a staff member, or marking them Inactive, immediately revokes their access to the front-desk dashboard app — they're checked against your active roster on every sign-in attempt, so there's no delay in cutting off access.
